MESSAGE FOR SERMON: Sunday, February 12, 2023 is It’s Life and Death: Scripture: Deuteronomy 30: 15-20.
SOUPER SUNDAY CHILI COOKOFF: Is Sunday, February 12, 2023 right after church. The United Women of Faith are hosting it and are encouraging Congregants to bring their special chili to Church. Please consider donating chili, crackers, shredded cheese, diced onions and corn chips. You will vote with your dollars. The chili earning the most money will be this year’s winner. Please come and join us in the fun!
YOUTH UPDATE: Last Sunday we had 6 youth and 1 young adult attend lunch, games and hide and seek. Fun was had by all!
YOUTH: This Sunday after Church come and enjoy chili and games with Pastor Cyd.
COFFEE WITH THE PASTOR: Pastor Cyd is at the church to share a cup of coffee and conversation with anyone who wishes to join her on Tuesdays at 11:00 AM. Further, remember that Pastor Cyd welcomes your phone calls anytime, whether to make an appointment or discuss other business. GREAT NEWS!!: Not only has Thea switched Fauna,(fauna@hartunitedmethodist.org), Pastor Cyd, (pastorcyd@hartunitedmethodist.org)and the Church office (office@hartunitedmethodist.org) with new email addresses that are easy toremember but Thea has also created a new Hart United Methodist Church web page!!! It’s under construction but it is up and running. Also, there is a donations page that is up and running and an on-line form to add and update the directory. Please check it out and lastly Thea has updated the Facebook page. Please check that out as well, like it, share it and add in prayer requests.
UPCOMING MEETING: The Ad-Board monthly meeting will be held Monday, February 20, 2023 @ 6:30.
SCRIPTURE READERS: Leave word with Maureen Huizing (873-0418), the Church office (873-3516) or Pastor Cyd (517) 617-7382 if you would be willing to be our Scripture reader on one of the future Sundays. Walter Urick is scheduled for this Sunday, with David Jensen on 2/19 and Gayle Forner on 2/26.
CONGREGATIONAL CARE: We need volunteers to help provide food for our church family in times of need. If you can help, please add your name and contact information to the Congregational Care Volunteer list in the McRae Fellowship Hall or leave your name with our Church office (873-3516). HART UMC DIRECTORY COLLECTION FORMS: These forms have been put in your mailboxes and for those of you that do not have a mailbox, there are forms on the welcome center. Please fill out your information and drop off at the Church office or in the office secretary’s mailbox. You can also go to our new website and fill out an on-line form to add and update the directory. Your help in filling these forms out will help us to update our office and contact information. Thank You!
OFFICE HOURS: The Church office will be open Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Pastor Cyd will be at the Church office on Monday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Fauna will be at the Church office on Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
